Image of Peru in a Nepali Tourism Poster

by Samudaya.org | January 2007

From Reuters

LIMA (Reuters) - Royal Nepal Airlines has apologized to Peru after mistakenly using a photo of the Inca ruins of Machu Picchu to promote tourism in Nepal.

Peru's foreign ministry said in a statement Wednesday the flagship carrier of the Himalayan kingdom, about half way around the world from the Andean country, had put the picture of Peru's tourism icon, Machu Picchu, on a poster under a slogan "Have you seen Nepal?"

Perhaps dyslexic RNA officials, or perhaps far-sighted RNA officials as they acrimoniously (and correctly) predict the possible future of New Nepal which is almost begining to look like the Inca ruins in so many ways.

mystichacker,

whereabouts do you live son?

a reasonable dose of skepticism and cynicism is prudent, and some may say the sign of intelligence. however, boundless negativity (in prolix prose) without substance or ever a viable alternative is grandstanding.

i’ve read a lot of your posts (how can one visit samudaya and avoid you?) and am trying to reconcile how one can be so pedantic, yet actually lack total substance?

please reply simply, if at all.

Man what happened to this site? It seems so deserted. I remember this site used to be so active and these pages filled with lively discussions.
